Duke here! Born and raised in Austin, third generation, and watched this city grow up alongside me.
I’ve lived all over, from a bungalow walking distance to downtown and Lady Bird Lake, to south of the river, to a horse ranch northwest of town. Austin isn’t one thing — and neither are the people who call it home.
For the past 25 years, I’ve worked at the intersection of finance and real estate — first as a financial advisor, then leading a mortgage banking team ranked in the top 1% nationally. I understand how deals actually work, how lenders think, and where people quietly lose money. I’ve also built my own real estate portfolio here, so I don’t give theoretical advice — I give the same guidance I use in my own life.
